I just received my vantage 3 cushion shaft that Rick has helped me to order it. The shaft is gorgeous (Thank You Rick)!!! This shaft is mainly for carom billiard especially for 3 cushion; Funny thing is that I also used it for pocket pool, and I even played better with it. When it came draw shot, follow up shot, side spin shot, etc..., I did it with ease. I liked it so much, I will order a second one (spare one) when Seyberts starts to carry it. If any one of you have a chance to get one, please do so, cause you will enjoy it as much as I do. Better yet, just wait until Seyberts starts to carry it then you try to get one so you can try it out without any risk (everyone has his/her own preference), cause Seyberts's 60 days guarantee return policy.

Excellent Shaft

I just recently upgrade from a Z2 to the 314-3, and I posted a review of it there. I absolutely love the 314-3 and wanted to also give this Vantage shaft a try. In my comparison, I struggle to find any real difference as far as my playing abilities. 2 things I can say for sure. 1. This shaft is a tiny bit heavier. This is not an issue per se, but I notice it when switching between the 314-3. 2. My accuracy improved a little more. (mainly with jacked up shots, its like they go automatically). While I am able to get the same amount of English, I only have a slight struggle with Draw shots as I am not experienced enough with the shaft thickness. However over time I am glad with this and my 314-3. The stiffness is awesome as well! It all comes down to your stroke of course, and my stroke is refined enough to be able to place the cue ball the same way I could with a Z2, only now I am more accurate, and less unintentional spin.

Accuracy increase

This is a great shaft, there's no doubt about that. My accuracy definitely increased on many of my cut shots using this shaft compared to my OB-2. However, I find that it's harder to get spin using the vantage. Perhaps it's because my stroke isn't super refined, but I think the thinner shafts allow the cue ball to dance around the table better. Also, after using a thinner shaft, this shaft feels very bulky. I'm still contemplating on returning this for the new Z-3, since it's nearly the same construction and it's thinner in diameter. However, it's a trade off between spin and accuracy. For those that love thicker shafts, you should have no qualms about this shaft.
