They'll do...
As stated by jg7nva...these are slightly larger than the ferrel end, but will hold and come out with little effort.
I will need to modify the mounting holes slightly as I'm using these to hold a "shorty" cue in the space of a standard cue rack, meaning I'll wall mount this clip directly in between the butt shelf and the shaft socket ends already installed.

These replace the LOWER (cue butt) clips on a wall mounted cue rack
Quality solid clips. PLEASE NOTE: The diameter of these clips fits the wider butt sections of a cue. If you need to replace the upper clip that fastens closer to the tip section on a vertical wall rack, these will not work.
