Good value for what you get

I've always used master in the past and that still holds true today. For what your paying for, you get a good chalk that has a decent hold and i usually tend to re-chalk every 2-3 hits

Master Green

I always used master blue and have tried Silver Cup. I'm not sure what I was experiencing, but the green seamed to not build and stick like the blue. The dust that falls while you chalk the tip is finer for some reason. I ordered Blue and green and gave the green away. Different formula? Low moisture? Not sure but went back to blue with no problems.

Master chalk is the best value on the market ...

Master chalk is the most popular brand of chalk in the world because it is an excellent product and is reasonable priced.

It has a nice creamy texture that adheres very well to your cue tip and grips the ball very well. If you miscue with Master, it's your faulty stroke, not your choice of chalk.

I use both Grey and Green Master. I prefer Grey as it doesn't stain your ferrule or shaft like the blue or red chalk does (what's up with red chalk anyway, unless you're playing in a bordello or a "50's era" Chinese restaurant lounge), but I use the green when the house outlaws colors other than blue or green.

Although Blue Diamond sticks to phenolic tips a little better, why pay $3 to $5 a cube for chalk that goes on you play cue. A cube of BC lasts me a year if I only use it on my break and jump tips.

Good solid choice

Master chalk is always a solid choice. It's not an outstanding chalk, but it sticks pretty well and is very easy on the wallet. If you use those expensive chalks, it never hurts to have a few cubes of Master as back up. With Master chalk, just remember to chalk before each shot and you're okay.
