Product Reviews
The Doctor Is In!
I like everything in the kit. I would concur with others and say I don't
like the wax very much. The shaft conditioner on the other hand is really good stuff. Cleans deep dirt quickly.
On to the dent buffer. This is a MUST HAVE tool. It took the little annoying dents out completely. One dent came out that I thought was going to be permanent. If you look for the dent very carefully you can find it, but I cant feel it when stroking. If you get a dent this tool cant handle, you need a professional repair anyway.
The cloth is OK. It lasts quite a while if you keep it sealed in the bag. It works good for wipe downs between racks.
Rx Cue Doctor Kit
The Cue Doctor Dent Buffer is absolutely must have in a cue case. It is a great thing for removing dents. I don't use it much. Every once in while when someone wants to use sand paper on shaft after damaging it and you pull it out of your bag you earn a beer.
Cue Doctor Wax and Cue Doctor Cloth I can do without.
I usually use Wax in combination with Porper Shaft Polisher to protect my shaft after I clean it once a week with Q Clean Cue Shaft Cleaner and Q Smooth.
Nice kit.
The shaft cleaner and conditioner works great. I had not cleaned my shaft for about 2 years before getting this and took off all the chalk and grime on the first pass. I followed up with the wax which I did NOT like. It put a residue on the cue that while it was nice and slick, I don't not like the feel of it. This is of course a personal issue. I'm one of those people that get's distracted by dents and dings in my cue, and the wax was distracting to me.
Now, for the dents and dings. This little glass-like rod is freaking amazing! I've taken out some pretty hefty dings from drops or banging into the lights over the table etc. Remove the shaft and lay it on the table while you're rubbing so you don't put a lot of pressure on the joints and it will come out quickly. The only negative I can think of is all the comments on the dent removers, um, shape and look if you know what I mean.
Seybert's service and shipping were quick and great as usual.
