I have a Lucasi Hybrid cue stick. it shoots pretty well but not always, because it had the flexipoint in them. so I really wanted to improve my playing cause I was missing a lot of straight shots because of that flexipoint that I am not used too. so I bought this shaft.
I gotta tell you, the packaging was amazing. I really was surprised for the way it was packaged. the shaft was covered by a velvet wrap, that was covered by bubble wrap, that was inside a solid tube, that was inside a box that was full with packaging peanuts !!!! I think that they spent on packaging more than the cost of shipping.
and concerning the shat, it improved my play by about 50-70%. it shots very straight, although it will take you couple weeks to get used to it if you havent played with a similar one before. all what I need to do right now is to get a whole predator cue.

Whenever you look around in pool parlors, you will never fail to see a 314-2 shaft somewhere. I've played with several cues from Productions to Custom cue-makers and yet there's just this big fuss about that shaft. I bought one and tried it out.

1) Packaging - When my package came, it looks pretty neat. I opened it up and it came with a pred soft velvet sleeve. Nice to know that your shaft is protected during it's journey. The sleeve can be re-used too.

2) Warranty - Paying this much for a shaft entitles you to a warranty (Warranty Sticker on shaft). Great to know that at least any manufacturing faults can be remedied! Very smart move on pred. side to ensure customer's satisfaction.

3) Play - This is what the big fuss is all about. When I played with it, I felt really accurate with it. The technology of the shaft really works; there's so little deflection with it that I hardly have to account for. It's almost as if I'm aiming for a straight pocket even when I apply lateral spin. The 314-2 ball path can run in pretty flattering manners and Pros who really know them will enjoy it.

The technology of the shaft also makes your shots more forgiving. You can hit slightly off target but you can still sink the shot so long as it's within the error range.

The pro taper of the shaft really makes it comfortable as players these days play with a slimmer taper. It's much easier to adapt to the shaft.


Conclusion: This is definitely a shaft that I will pay for, period. It can do things much easily that I've never been able to do with other shafts. Well worth the attention.

The 314-2 shaft is in my opinion simply in the top3 of the world best shafts. Low cue ball deflection, solid hit (almost as solid as Z-2), thickness, etc

It´s the ideal shaft either for beginners or pros! Allows you to English, draw easily keeping a right cur position, spinning etc
Worths every single cent invested on it.

Also remember this shaft can be adapted to most of the butts, so even if you want to upgrade your cue , you can keep this awesome shaft!

Been playing for a few years. I've played everything from Players to OB1. I still eventually come back to Predator 314. These shafts are top quality and are consistent across the board. These shafts are the next generation of shafts with radial consistency and the ability to minimize CUE BALL deflection, it really stands out from the crowd.

If you're just a beginner, this will help the learning curve of English and will help generate spin on draw and follow shots much more easily.

If you're a seasoned pro AND you're willing to make a change, this shaft will allow you play certain cue ball shapes that you never thought were playable.
