I have predator 314 and 312^2 shafts, both are great and this second generation improves on the first. I own a couple custom cues and have had them fitted with the 314^2 shafts and I say the difference in accuracy/deflection is incredible. With a conventional all maple shaft, I have to make certain modifications in my aim. The 314 shaft greatly reduces my need to make these modification and as a result I tend to have a higher consistency in shot making. The 314^2 shafts also allow me to loosen up on my stroke, I can be a little bit off in my stroke and still make balls. This is extremely helpful when I have to use extreme amounts of spin to move the cue ball. There are many extreme english shots I feel more comfortable with on a 314^2 shaft as opposed to a conventional all maple shaft.

I've been playing with Predator 314 and 314-2 shafts for many years. I really like shaft quality and taper. It reduces cue ball deflection quite a bit making your game easier. It's one of my best purchases of pool inventory. The only drawback: once you got used to Predator shafts, it's difficult to use conventional shafts. On the other hand, I couldn't think of any reason why I need any other shafts. Highly recommended!
