Great book to improve your 8 ball game
Excellent book to improve your 8 ball game. Book goes in depth about position routes, pattern play, safeties, and practice routines. Book also covers different skill levels of A, B, and C players and how to play a different skill than yourself. Only thing I wish the book showed more of was how he made the shot.

play your best 8 ball
This is by far the best book on 8 ball on the market right now, Phil makes it so easy to understand pool and he shows you how easy it is to improve your game. I bought this book a while back and together with my 314-2 shaft i am improving in my 8 ball game. This is a great book and i would recommend it to anyone who loves 8 ball the way i do.

A good book if you really want to improve at eight ball
"Play Your Best Eight Ball" covers all aspects of the game: offense, defense, runout strategies, individual shots, you-name-it. The book is so detailed, the way to approach it is to read a small section, practice that instruction on a pool table, then go back to the book. I noticed that some things immediately stuck permanently, but other pearls of wisdom had to be reviewed. So I often refer back to the book (which I highlighted liberally) to refresh my memory. A good investment for serious players, or beginners who want to improve.

Easy read
I liked the book. Phil Capelle has such a great way of making the reading interesting. It's not just boring text. I think this book is more geared for the league or local tournament play. It's a good read, worth the time.
