Value for money
Previously, have been using a Predator BK break for many years. Now, have
switch to using Prechauer break. Felt that the hit was very solid and firm, on
par or even better than a BK. The front-weight technology will require some
time to get use to. Had some difficult to adjust to it initially. It seems that the front-weight technology allows you to hit closer to the centre of the cue ball while still maintaining the amount of spin required. That have given me more confidence on the break.
I’m using the standard tip offered and it is as hard as the BK tip. I did not expect it to be that hard though but nonetheless, it breaks very well. As for the weight, I’m using a 19-oz but felt that perhaps due to the front weight, it felt heavier than a 19-oz BK.
As for the appearance of the cue, the actual cue has a darker natural stain on the forearm than the picture. But still, it looks great.
The biggest advantage I like about Prechauer break is the cost. It is definitely worth the money for that kind of performance, similar or even better than a BK. Definitely value for money.
