Having been playing with the 314 (1st gen.) for years, and after having tried the new 314s (wasn't impressed at all) I have finally decided to take a leap of faith and get something more 'solid'. The main problem IMO, with most of the Low Deflection shafts is their 'dead whimpy hit' at softer speeds which gives you little to no feedback as compared to the standard maple shafts. Therefore, I noticed my game has suffered on all those touchy shots where deflection and spin don't even come into play, but the feel does.

This baby however really impressed me with the incredibly solid hit it has. Not only is it a LD shaft that performs identically to my old 314 (literally little to no aim adjustment), but the feedback is simply amazing! I highly recommend this to all who like that old school solid 'ping' feeling, yet still want to enjoy all the advantages of Lower Deflection. Two thumbs up to OB for making this!
