Hits like a normal shaft
I have an ob-2 and a classic pro for my ob-108. The ob-2 had a real soft hit to it that a few of my friends found to be pretty annoying (I didn't mind it so much). The classic pro has taken pretty much no getting used to from the ob-2 and hits like a real solid and stiff solid maple shaft. I love it and it's going to be my new all time shaft.

Absolutely love it!
Although I've been a fan of the original OB shafts for some time, I was a little hesitant to get an OB "classic" shaft for a couple of reasons.
To begin with, as they are a new release, no one in my area had one available to "test drive" and since they do NOT have the foam dampening core that the original OB's have, I feared that they would have a pretty stiff hit like the Predator 314's. I played a 314/2 shaft for about 10 months and altho' it was an accurate, low deflection shaft, I just didn't like the amount of vibration upon impact with the cue ball. Fortunately, a clumsy waitress at a billiard parlor in Portland's Hollywood district severely damaged it and I dumped it on eBay without replacing it.
This new OB has a very solid hit without the aggravating vibrations of the 314/2 and is just as accurate.
Now that I'm once again playing a low deflection shaft, my game is getting very consistent and my confidence level is skyrocketing.
Thank you, OB!
