I use both the Black & Brown Kamui tips. I also use the Kamui chalk. I have always use a hard tip, but with the Kamui Brown (Which I compare to the Tigar Hard tip) the medium tips are equivalent. Ever since I've been using the Lamui chalk, I find that the brown actually holds the chalk better than the black. I can play 4 full games of one pocket chalking my cue only once. That I find amazing. I am getting ready to change all of my Kamui black tips over to the Kamui brown tips because of that reason. I have miscued a lot using the Kamui chalk with the Kamui black tip but I have only miscued once using the Kamui brown and that was error on my part. As far as rating tips, I would say that the Kamui brown Medium is by far the best tip to use but I also agree, the price needs to be more reasonable. A good price range would be $9-$11 a tip.

I have tried a lot of different tips - Kamui brown series is not bad, but it is not worth this price. It is far away from Moori III and even further away from Kamui black. I would compare the performance to Molavia or maybe Tiger - so if the price for Kamui brown series would be under 10$ - it would be pretty much OK. But for 16+$ you can find a better tip.
And also Kamui brown is mushrooming a lot (at least Soft and Super Soft tips).

Switched from the standard non layered tip on my Lucasi. Night and day difference. A layered tip takes getting used to if you have never played with one before. If you like a medium tip i suggest the soft. The medium is a little harder than I like but have gotten used to it. The tip is on the pricey side. If you can tell a difference from other tips and like it than it will be worth the price.

I'm giving the tip 4 stars based on the tips being on the hard side of their descriptions.

You can reach the next level of cue ball control as long as you keep it scuffed. Tap it every time it comes out of your case & you will notice the difference in your cue ball action. I've been surprised that this "super soft" has held it's shape so well.

Tip controls the cue ball very well and keeps it shape but does tend to slicken up and needs scuffed or taped more often than others

Nice tip, can get a lot of action on the ball. A little on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for.

I had a local cue repairman put a kamui medium tip on for me. I wanted a sniper tip, like I had before, but he kind of pushed me towards the kamui. I have to say, this tip played great, even after it got down to nothing. It felt too hard at first, but it grew on me after a while. It kept it's shape very well. I didn't shape it for 3 months and I can tell you how many times I miscued on one hand. I even broke with it, on occasion. Always made a ball and got good shape for the next.

If you haven't tried this tip yet, give it a whirl. It's a little pricey, but a reliable tip. I got more than my money's-worth out of it.
