Best layered tip for the price
I have been using Moori Ms for ages, but with their recent decline in performance and overall playability, from MIII onwards (compared to the old gen. Moori which was great), I felt it was time for a change.

The Everest has so far been outstanding, it hits slightly harder than a MIII (when both are newly glued, MIII starts to harden fast as it gets smaller), but Everest stays consistent throughout its life, meaning that you get a very similar hit once you put it on versus when its almost at the end of its life (it does not harden too much, IMO). This makes adjusting to a newly glued tip a breeze, and after a day or two once its broken in and shaped, it stays solid and consistent, with little to no mushrooming until its time to take it off (unlike the new Mooris which mushroom like hell).

Also worth noting is that this is probably the cheapest of the high-range pig skin layered tips, and it sure as hell performs better than anything in its hardness range (remember, Everest is a fixed Medium rated tip).

As for performance, I would say it grips the whitey very well, holds chalk great, but of course there are more 'grippier' options, especially when it comes to softer tips from Kamui such as the Black S etc etc. But hey, those suckers go for 20$, so IMO Everest is by far the best value/performance for money Medium tip out there!

Everest tip
This is the first layererd tip I have ever used so I do not intend to compare it to other layered tips. I can only compare it to the LePro. The thing I hated about the LePro was it needed constant attention. Glazing was my biggest b**ch. They get harder and harder as you play with them. To combat this I would have to shape or prick. The constant changes to the LePro led to inconsistency.

Not a prob with the Everest. It was a bit soft for me so I took it down so there was two full layers above the red warning layer. PERFECT. After I got it to that profile, I have never had to prick or reshape. Holds chalk all the time, every time. This has been on my Viking for a year now. The only "grooming" I do is burnish the sides occasionally. I play about 3000 games a year.

Upsides.... CONSISTENCY!!!! Plays the same due to lack of the need to
reshape or prick.
Chalk seems to stick like it has magnetic properties, even
without pricking.
Has not changed hardness over time
Never had any "mushrooming" issues.
Downside...There will be a learning curve if you have little experience with
layered tips. Any flaw in stroke will be magnified by unintentional
spin that transfers to the object ball. Hard work on improving my
stroke has paid off.
TIP.... When you install and sand the sides to match your ferrule, sand in only one direction......TOWARD the ferrule. Not away from it. Not in both directions. This makes layer separation problems non existent.

works well
I tried this on my brother's cue and he really likes it... a bit on the soft side for me, but does play nice

It's everything they say it is ...
On Tiger's website they state ...

"This cue tip shapes like a hard tip, hits like a medium and has a control like a soft tip"

I thought that sounded pretty good and was enough to make me "blow a wad" on my first laminated tip.

The next day, I took all 5 of my cues to my mechanic and had an Everest installed on each one.

It's still my favorite tip and recommend it to everyone (even if they don't ask for a recommendation!)

There's a very good reason that Predator and OB put Everest tips on their high end performance shafts. It's a high performance tip.

There are tips out there that might grab a little more, but that can kill you on a long straight-in shot where you need "zero" english to avoid unwanted throw (and you don't happen to have Nick Varner's pure stroke).

I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

Everest
It is a nice tip,...comes (standard) with 314-2 and z-2 shafts for example.I feel like it is a bit hard, but after a few games it gets better, and for this price is not a bad option at all, Moori Tips construction are better, less likely to have delamination problems etc but the price is way higher

So from the less expensive tips i recommend Everest,...

Best tip I have ever used!
This tip has a great feel to it. Keeps the shape of a hard tip, hit of a medium tip and the ability to apply english of a soft tip.

Tiger Everest Tip
Not crazy about this tip, it came standard on a Predator Z2 shaft. The top layer of the tip came off after about 2 months and never did sound right.
