| The Arts & Crafts movement originated in London in 1888, inspired by the pre-industrial, rural design style of William Morris. Arts & Crafts is known for honesty of expression in workmanship and materials. Tables in the Arts & Crafts style are true to their inspiration: simplicity, honesty, and utility. They favor pure lines over baroque ornamentation, and lighter stains to accentuate the beauty of the wood grain. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
