Product Reviews
Hard to believe
It is a pleasure to use. It is tapered nicely, almost a pro taper, and has real touch. It is well balanced. A few minutes with a micro-mesh kit and it is like glass. Good wood.
One almost forgets it is a shortened cue. Buy one if you have the need.
It is why I chose a 52 inch Troubleshoot as a Seybert Bucks add-on.
This is at the other end of the spectrum. It is almost impossible to imagine how they could get one cue so right and another so wrong. Side by side, it is difficult to imagine they came from the same company.
After my initial great experience with Troubleshooter, I couldn't be more disappointed.
It absolutely sucks as a cuestick. The taper is just plain awful, it's worse than a cheap bar cue or one of those bargain two piece junkers. The term club is far too generous for this broomstick with a tip.
Seybert's or anyone else selling it should be ashamed to ship it.
So help them out.
Don't buy it.
The primary reason this isn't going back is that I sanded the sorry shaft to help make it usable by smoothing it with a micro-mesh kit,(it didn't help enough, or at least I'm not going to spend that much time re-shaping the taper)and I got it as a Seybert's buck throw in with the great deal on the Aramith TV Pro set. That is a very good deal even without this cue. Treat yourself to a set. Pick something else for your Seybert's Bucks.
Beyond that, the cost and hassle of shipping it back isn't worth the trouble.
You are welcome. I've just saved you from spending money badly.
