Great low deflection with softer hit
The OB1 shaft is a great low deflection shaft. There are more laminated pieces than a predator shaft has and the deflection qualities are similar. The shaft has a foam core that softens the hit, so if you don't like the hollow feel that some people feel with the predator shafts, then this is a good alternative. The ferrule is also made of laminated wood which may also contribute to the softer feel. One drawback to the wood ferrule is that it collects chalk more than an ivory or plastic ferrule. Also, due to the fact there are more glued segments in this shaft I have found this shaft dents significantly less than other shafts.
