Leather Instroke
I researched cases for almost a year before pulling the trigger on this one (without ever having touched it), and for the price, I'm very pleased.
Pros:
• Classic styling - I wanted something classic (No biker or cowboy-style case). This totally fits that requirement. If Coach Leather made a cue case, it would have a challenge competing with this.
• All leather - For all of leather's faults, I like it. I like the way it smells, feels and performs. You’ll have a difficult time finding a better all-leather 4x8 case for this price.
• Big Accessory Pockets - I have a lot of accessories and I want to bring all of them with me. The larger pocket holds a box of chalk, a 5-space Q-claw, and a CueSight precision training ball, with room available for more stuff (at least another box of chalk). The “small” pocket is the perfect size to stack 2 5-space Q-claws!
• Cue protection - It's a 4x8 case with 2 removable (velcro) fabric-covered rigid dividers that have elastic loops to hold a cue and two shafts on each side, and a fabric sheet with velcro at each end that acts as a cover between the two dividers. It could be better, but surviving a nuclear explosion was not a high priority.
Cons:
• The Velcro should stick better.
That’s it. I give it a 4-star only because the protection (padding) could be better (thicker). It’s a great case!
