Stiff as they come.
This cue is as stiff as any shaft I've shot with. It suits a lot of players games, as it gives you really low deflection, and good for shooting on slow cloth like we find at many of the bars we shoot out of regularly. It's a great shaft, but very situational in terms of the way I shoot. I like the I-2 a little better myself, but this is a really great shaft as well. Do yourself a favor and shoot with all three shafts before you make a decision. Make your way to the McDermott booth next time you are at a tournament, or check out your local billiard supply store to try them out.
