Well, I just got back from Amsterdam Billiards in Union Square. First day of business at their new location, which incidentally used to be Corner Billiards. When my friend and I got there at around 5pm, they were apparently still getting things in order as about 1/3 of their tables were still being worked on. :!: By the time we left at around 8:30pm, they finally had all tables going. They even have a bar box. They added armchairs in the middle of the place for nonplayers to lounge around. Flatscreens all over the place showing ESPN or Fox Sports. Bar/waiting area. Wandering drink waitress. Pretty much just like Corner before it, except they added the TVs and armchairs. Dufferin house cues, although for a "new" place many of them were pretty banged up. BUT they all had brand new ferrules and tips. I'm thinking about joining their league....

Anyway, just posting to let any NYC players know about Amsterdam's reopening, if they didn't already know. Maybe I'll see you there.
