Default BK or Sledge part 2

    Hey,

I read through the BK and Sledge page but I wanted to get more info.

I'm considering getting either of the 2, but I really wanna know what people who have both those 2 or have used both, think. I only wanna be getting one, so its a pretty tough decision! Plus, I have heard about J/Bs not being as good as pure break cues....how do you guys think the sledge holds up to this? Because from my friends who have it, they think it does both jobs really well. Also, for the people that think a BK is good enough, what is the best jump cue out there for the money?

Any kind of comments would be greatly appreciated!

    thanks,
    ray

as someone who has used both i prefer the sledgehammer. it breaks well and jumps just as good as a bunjee lucasi or a robin dodson frog. the sledge has a phonelic tip ferrule combo which increases power. plus i have witnessed a bk ferrule cracking. also i have seen many bks in which the finish was chipping. i would definetely go with the sledgehammer. you save $60 too.

Never tried the Sledge, I have a BK and I love it, if I was to go with a combo cue (which I won't, it's not that recommended) I would go with a Mace before I'll get the Sledge.
As for jumps cues, I've tried quite a few and I can honestly say that they all the same, most important is the tip, get a cheap one and put a phenolic tip on it and you're good to go.

If you have $150 or so to spend on a jump cue then try the new Mezz Airshooter and let us know how it works for you

never tried the mace but heard good things about them. but for the $$$ go with the fury. although its a knockoff of the sledgehammer, its still pretty good.

    I have both.
The best combination for me is a Predator BK with a phenolic tip and a seperate jump cue.
    life is good
