Hi, i live in Vancouver, Canada, the most pool starved city in the world. We only have one pool store here, which is why i have to buy one online without trying it out in person, i like some of the Lucasi cue line, but have heard mixed reviews as to the hit and craftsmanship, i also like the 5280 line of cues but am leaning more to lucasi as i want to add a predator shaft to it eventually which is why i like the Lucasi's having a uniloc joint. Can someone please recommend what i should do? Are lucasi cues a good hit? help!

From what I have seen I have serious concerns regarding the quality of the Lucassi cue line. Wraps coming apart after a year or two of use, inlays and ring work that are not flush. I am sure you have some fine cue makers in Canada and I would suggest that you search them out. It is nice to be able support your fellow countrymen and craftsmen who take pride in their product rather than a Chinese company that is driven solely by a profit motive and pay their workers a pittance.

Al,
I live in Canada as well and I know you have some cuemakers right in your own backyard. Check out www.easypooltutor.com and look under cuemakers. It will give you a field that you can put in some parameters and find the cuemakers near you. Also, I have the same problem as you, being from a pool starved city. I searched the net and found a good low-priced Canadian website to order cues from. I searched the net and this site was the lowest I have seen. I don't want to take anything away from Seybert's, but if you order from the U.S., Canada customs is going to whack you for a lot of duty. Trust me, I learned this the hard way. You also get the added bonus of supporting the Canadian economy. If you want the site, look on my profile and my secondary e-mail is on there. Send me a message and I will send you info for what you want to know.
