I have recently have been trying to add the skill of jumping to my bag of skills and I am having trouble sorting through all of the varied info on the net. I've read that hitting through the center of the cue ball and the desired rebound angle and also hitting about center. I was wondering what kind of techniques you guys use. What is your preference, the normal stroke or the "dart" stroke. Thanks -Matt

Took me a while at the table....but have finally become better than I thought I would with a jumper...I followed the dart stroke just like these instructions and it worked good for me http://www.seyberts.com/bunjee/jumpcue-instructions.htm

i just got the "frog" jump cue, and I am very please with it's hit. Within the first 15 minutes of trying to jump I had it down. I can only successfully jump the entire ball cleanly with the normal pool grip method. Every time I use the dart stroke I seem to miscue or get a weak ass jump. It might be because the frog jump cue butt is a little larger than the average, and is not tiny enough to do the dart stroke. I know that I'll need to be able to use the dart stroke because of a jump required with the cue ball positioned in the middle of a 9' table. Any suggestions? -Matt
