That would be very interesting if Predator made chalk. Right now I use Balabushka chalk and it is amazing stuff.

where do you find Balabushka chalk and what makes it so amazing?
I own one chalk w/ the Predator logo n US flag on the label. A friend gave one to me. I have the tan color and coincidentally im using a Master tan chalk, compared it and its the SAME! Same texture same color and feel. Also Predator dont make them. I believe its by Master chalk but then someone, somewhere in Asia took the Master label and put the Predator sticker on them. They sell it for 50 pesos w/c is 1$. If u like the chalk just buy Master tan color chalk and plus its not nice to support illegal business anyway.

I actually get the Balabushka chalk off of Ebay. The chalk is very fine and goes on your cue tip very well. I had always thought that chalk was chalk, but I can actually feel a difference with this chalk. The only bad thing I have found about the chalk is that the cube wears down very quickly. However, this does make sense as the chalk is very fine.

My personal and unprofessional opinion is that MASTER CHALK should only be used since it seems to be the "industry standard' - widely used. And it's what's furnished on tour.

Depends on the tour, some 9-ball tourneys use Silver Cup Chalk.

Im currently using silver cup , not as rough as triangle but not as claggy as master . Tried balabushka but I can only get blue and it marks the cue ball quite severely and is hard to clean off , a pity coz it feels nice to hit with .

If anyone can provide a sample of "Predator chalk" it would be greatly appreciated.

sorry, but could you explain claggy?
I have both silver cup (burgundy color) and master (red) and I don't really know that I can tell a difference. My talisman tip seems to hold all chalk so well that I don't chalk up but maybe once a rack. but I am always on the lookout for the "best" so that's why I've tried them both and I have been interested in the balabushka because it has gotten such good reviews. I don't know... does the statement "chalk is chalk" hold true? what do you guys find as the true differences of the chalk you use and why, and what type of tip do you use it on?

I use the Balabushka chalk on a Moori medium tip. I have found that the hit feels nicer and allows for better cue ball control while using English. It is true though, that the Balabushka leaves chalk on the table, but I have not noticed it on the cue ball. Normally at the end of the day, it is very apparent where I was breaking from as there is a large blue chalk spot on the cloth. I prefer this over the other crap the local pool hall was providing, but I am not too sure what kind of chalk that was as it was normally so used and worn that I could not tell the brand. Balabushka chalk is the only chalk that has ever touched the tips of my Predator cues.

We recently learned that counterfeit Predator cues and chalks are being offered for sale in the Philippines. We regret that this has happened and want to assure you that we will do all we can to identify and prosecute the perpetrators.
The counterfeit cues differ from Predator cues in two ways. First, the fakes bear a logo of noticeably poor quality. When compared to a Predator logo applied at our factory, it is easy to discern the difference and recognize the counterfeit. Second, all new Predator cues come with a Uni-Loc™ joint whereas the fake cues have a 5/16x14 joint.
As for the chalk, Predator Products does not offer chalk and any chalk bearing the Predator mark is counterfeit. Should you have information regarding the origin of these products, please contact me via email at allan@predatorcues.com.
Pool players around the world recognize the Predator brand. It offers a promise of superior performance backed by a company committed to providing a superior ownership experience. Consequently, we are not surprised to learn of counterfeits. We are, however, disappointed. Nonetheless, we will continue our efforts to promote the game of pool, bring new performance-oriented products to market and deliver the ultimate playing experience.
In closing, I thank you for your business and support, and wish you much success.
Sincerely,
Allan G. McCarty
I had a customer at my store a few days ago from Philipines. He came with a printout from one of the sites which had unbelievable prces on Predator Products.
<fake> Predator 314 shaft - $60
<fake> Predator 3K1 cue - $180
He ended up bying just a Predator case.
Sincerely,

P.S. It was bound to happen sooner or later. The technology behind Predators is well known. :(((

So sad to hear this.... Hope the perpetrators will be caught. Sickens me when some of my countrymates just destroy our dignity and image that easily while our poor pool playing heroes are doing their best to make a good name for the country....

About the chalks:
Masters - best all around chalk in coating and consistency.
Balabushka - Coats well, but cakes up once alot is into the tip. Blue color is electric and almost flouescent looking next to Masters blue.
Silver Cup - Much flakier than Masters or Bushka. Gets all over the ferrule and everything else you are near when you chalk. Cannot understand why anyone would use this chalk over the others. However, they do have the best colors. That's all I can say about them.
