Has anyone used the "dry clean" type aerosol spray cleaner for their cloth? If so what type of cloth is it and what type of job did it do?

I ask because the table installer said not to use any type of damp cleaner or a vacuum because it would stretch the cloth.

For reference, I have simonis 860 installed.

Thanks for any feedback.

FYI... I just got a can of the David Hodges Quick Clean and I have to say so far so good. My cloth was not that dirty, as I use a dust buster on it regularly (and it's only 3 1/2 months old). Any rate, very little "dirt" showed up on the wipe down, but the cloth did look cleaner. It even seemed to diminish the white "burn spots" from the break area. You can still see them remotely, but they are not nearly as noticeable.

Has anyone else tried this product for a long period of time? I am curious how it stands up and affects the cloth over a period of time. I only plan to use it a few times a year so hopefully there will not be any ill affects. Some of the reviews I've read also claim that it's been endorsed and used at several tournaments, not that counts for anything.

A friend of mine just recently got new felt installed onto his table. The guy that installed it has been doing work on our cues, tables, etc. Pretty much if anything needs to be done we just call him.

Anyway, after he put the felt on the table he said that he would be back in 4 months to re-stretch the felt again. After he got a few funny looks from us, he said that the felt after about 4 months of regular play will naturally stretch out a little and become loose. Once it is re-stretched it will be good for years.

As for cleaners, I have never seen anything used but a brush. I have heard of a vacuum being used though. I mainly wanted to pass on the stuff about the felt for you.

I see Seyberts now has the David Hodges quick clean product on their table accessories page. I have to say, the more I use it the better I like it

Cloth does loosen over time usually years not months. It will happen quicker if located in a garage where the temperture and humidity can change from one extreme to another throught the day and year. On vacumns I prefer to use a dirt devil because the beater bar prevents it from forming a seal like a dust buster. This could cause the stretching mentioned before. A damp cleaner stretching the cloth? I think thats backwards. If you wash your jeans do the stretch or shrink? Adding water will shrink the cloth.
A suggestion for spills. The cloth weave is tight so most liquid stay on top. Soak it up with paper towels without pushing the liquid into the cloth. If the liquid is in the cloth it should be diluted to minimize the stain. Soak it with clean, clear water to dilute it. Soak it up and let it dry out. As it drys the cloth will shrink
