Enquires on breaking cue

I wished to ask can a normal playing cue be converted to a breaking cue by changing a more harder tip .
Any reccomadation for any tip best for breaking.
the cue weight is 21oz,it is suitable to use for breaking?? :roll:

A harder tip would be good. I would suggest dropping the weight down to around 18-19oz. The lighter the break cue, the more speed you can generate. The more speed, the more power to the rack.

I break explosively like C4 using a Dufferin Snooker Cue that weighs 17 ounces. A standard length Dufferin cue weighing the same just doesn't get it as far as breaking is concerned.
