spj vs 3k - 1

Are there any differences between the spj and the 3k - 1 other than looks.
I ask because I have someone who is desperate to swap his brand new 3K for my 18 mth old spj. I like my cue, I know his is worth more - but is it better :?:

As long as they both have the 314 shaft, which is standard, they will play the same. If I'm not mistaken, the 3K-1 comes standard with a wrap...Some people don't like the feel of a wrap on their cue. 8)

Since the shafts are constructed the same way, all of our cues will perform within 1% of each other.
