I just bought a Lucasi 2010. Cue has a nice hit for a metal joint and the finish is better than some users have described about Lucasi.
I am curious about the finish on the shaft. All other shafts on my cues are bare maple. The Lucasi seems to have a non-porous satin finish. Sometime it feels a little sticky. I am tempted to sand it off.
Thoughts anyone?

The Lucasi cues are coated with a French Cue wax. If it bothers you, it would not hurt to sand it off. Just use a very light sandpaper and it is a good idea to finish up with the q-smooth product.

i see what ur saying lol. I on the other hand am able to play with a glove at the pool hall without a problem but my cousin( who taught me to play pool) calls me an expletive "skirt" for using a glove and thinks that a belt chalker is unnatural hehe.

I know it goes against what most people say but I do use 600 grit sandpaper about once a month. I rub it on the cue very lightly and do not use it very long. After the sand paper I put Mother's Carnauba Cleaner Wax on the shaft, let sit for a couple minutes and then buff it with a cloth. I carry a flannel cloth with me and wipe the shaft quite often when I am playing and before I put the cue away. Works for me
