Why can't I draw with my pr10. Is it the width of the shaft, length of the shaft, or the weight of the forearm?

By draw shots, I mean distance draw shots (i.e. from either ends of the table)! After countless failed attempts, I picked up a predator and the cue ball whirled back hit the bottom cushion and rolled almost back up to about the side pocket! So by process of elimination, my cue-stroke falls in the clear. :D

I've noticed that the forearm on the pr 10 is slightly heavier, than most other cues and the butt on the whole perhaps a wee-bit longer. Would this have anything to do with it?

I NEED TO KNOW WHATS UP. Will buying a 314 shaft help, or did I get a lemon, albeit that this seems unlikely since everything else seems to go just right.

as far as your draw question... if you give me a broom handle you can get some draw. Hate to be the bearer of bad news but its your stroke. When i first bought my cue i couldn't draw it either but then i took it to a billiard store and complained about it and he showed me that it sure was possilbe then he showed me how to properly hit the ball. keep practicing try to be as consistant as possible in your stroke.

TRY THIS: Grab a beer bottle, wash it out, put it on the table and with out hitting the mouth of the bottle go back and fourth in and touch the back and out completely of the bottle if you can do this normal speed with out hitting the sides you can then be sure its not your stroke.

The tip can make a pretty big difference for drawing a cueball, if it is one you are not used to. But I agree with Sonnic: Draw (and miscue) is mostly a stroke issue, not a cue issue.
