View Full Version : At $150, Viking or Lucasi?

I'm looking to spend around $150 for a cue, and I'm wondering if I should get a Viking or a Lucasi, and why one would be better than the other. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!

This one is a no brainer. Viking. Quality and you are supporting american craftsmen and a company that pays american taxes!

I (respectfully) disagree. I played with both before settling on a Lucasi for myself. It felt more solid, and the quality of workmanship seemed just a cut above the Viking.
Viking makes a good cue. I bought one for my dad because nobody else would make an 11mm shaft from the factory. In the end, though, Lucasi gets my vote.
Good luck

There is no doubt in my mind that viking would be the best cue, if I was to gauge it to the Lucasi. Though now I play with a custom cue; I've owned two vikings, a lucasi, and a mc dermott. The viking by far out performed all of those cues mentioned. In my experience with the Lucasi, the shafts always deflected more than the viking.
