Do different tips affect deflection on Pechauer shafts?

I have a pechauer. I used to have a medium Hercules tip. I played well with it.

Today I put on a Water Buffalo medium tip. I feel like all the places I used to aim at on the object ball no longer works. The medium water buffalo tip is harder than the Hercules medium I used to have.

Does the new tip affect deflection? Suggestions?

I'm certainly no expert, but I would think that cye tips would definately affect performance. Hence the reason there are so many different cue tip manufacturers and tip hardness'. I would suggest just practicing with your new tip.
