Is it possible to get a butt cap thta is more like a rubber bumper than the flat one that is on the cue ? I sometimes let it drop to the floor and i would rather have the rubber bumper.
Any comments or suggestions ?
Every Viking cue should come with a rubber bumper that screws into the buttcap. Depending on the model, the buttcap on a Viking cue is made from Implex (a high-impact plastic), simulated pearl, or wood. Regardless of the material, there will be a threaded hole drilled into the buttcap, through the buttsleeve, and into the "underwrap area". This hole is about 8 1/2 inches deep. This is where the weightbolts go. so as to more evenly distribute the weight from the weightbolts. Keeps it from feeling like the cue is "butt-heavy". At the bottom of the cue, there should be a rubber bumper screwed into this 'weightbolt well". We do not use a rubber bumper with a large bubble of rubber hanging out the bottom of the cue. Our bumpers do indeed have a flat top on them, and should still afford you the cushion necessary to protect the bottom of the buttcap, should you tend to drop the cue to the floor striking the bumper.
Thanks Jim, i just wanted to know if the had the bubble rubber type.
