Cowboy models are made from nappa leather (cowhide) and the Buffalo models are made with a vegetable tanned cowhide with a light nap to it.

The leather on the Buffalo lines is eco-friendly and more exclusive, hence the increased attraction and price.

There is a company in Germany called Instroke Sports GmbH. They produce cue cases using the Instroke name. They were previously associated with the creator of the Instroke case, John Collins(now Barton). In early 2001 I informed them that they were no longer allowed to use the Instroke name since the quality of the products were not up to my standards. Since that time up to the present they have been infringing on my trademark and producing counterfeit Instroke cases.

The cases made by the German company are made in the Czech Republic. The cases that Seybert's carries are made in Taiwan in my partner's factory. Please go to http://www.instroke.com for the story on where and how Instroke cases are made.

The case pictured on this Ebay auction is in fact one of the cases that we produce in our Taiwanese factory.

Be assured that the place of production is secondary to the quality. If my methods are used then the cases can be made anywhere and they will be top quality. My Taiwanese partners have invested over $250,000 in the last three years to be able to produce cases to my standards. Recently, they spent $10,000 on a mold for a new latch designed especially for cue cases.

I know that the Taiwan/Germany thing is confusing and we are in a lawsuit to resolve the issue. I reccommend buying from a reputable dealer who will give you a money back guarantee in writing.

Seybert's is such a dealer and they can usually match or beat any advertised (reserve, starting bid) price on EBAY. The only ones they can't beat are the few dealers who are losing money on the sale and I for one, would be extremely cautious of dealing with them. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE ANY CASE PURCHASED FROM AN EBAY SELLER WHO IS NOT ONE OF OUR DEALERS. Look for the Instroke Authorized Dealer logo before you purchase. If the logo is not clickable and brings up the information on the dealer then the logo is counterfeit and they are probably trying to rip you off.
