View Full Version : Your Looking at it....
Well, what do you think of the new look. There is a bunch of added things to this newer version of board. The one I will mention is that if you go to your profile, there is a section to click of new posts or replies to the forum.
Always notify me of any new posts to the forums:
Sends an email containing the text and a link to it of any new posts or replys to the forums.
If you click this option, you will get an e-mail with the text of any post or reply posted on the board. It will also have a link in the e-mail so you can just click on it and it will be taken to the post.
Later
Don't know about functionality, but the color choice leaves a little to be desired. Particularly the color of the selected link, bright yellow on green, tough to read.

Yeah, the color makes me kind of gag. Although I like the diamonds and the wood, but the green ain't my idea of a good time. My table is a nice dark red felt.(hint hint) :)
Other than that it's great.
You know, I didn't even realize that the message board was supposed to look like a pool table till you mentioned it. . .I just thought that St. Patty's day was coming up again.

Ditch the cute. Style over substance, there is to much of this on the web already. While this discussion forum has some substance it is overshadowed by an obnoxious color scheme that is fatiguing on this old mans eyes.

Seyberts.com Forum, a truly democratic haven. You guys rock!

Before you change the color, can you roll it up and smoke it?

i like the new style. it just lacks the "pick a color scheme" option in the profiles. This would solve all the problems...

I love all you guys, you know I do...but you are WRONG!
The new look is GR8.
Ok, I have one more "theme" done. It is not as loud as the green one. Now if you go to your profile there is a section where you can pick your theme. I have a brown one. I will try to make a new one that comes closer to our original board in the next few days for all you that enjoyed the old look best.
Later,
I like the brown. Much easier on the eyes.
Very nice.

can't see where we can change the theme
To change the color style for this board, Go to Profile, then scroll down until you see "Board Style" Select whichever drop down options there is (Currently there's only 2...Brown & Green) and then click on submit and then presto :)
I like the brown too, but I'm uh "younger" generation type and I'm more into colors....but that's just my opinion ;)
Yellow on Green is hard on the eyes, I don't care how old your eyes might be. 8O The brown is much crisp . . . and it isn't overwhelming like the green. 8)

After visiting a few other non-pool related message boards over the past few days I must say that I appreciate this one more than ever. I'm so tired of being spammed with pop-up ads and obnoxious html filled signature files that make it difficult to determine what is the post and what isn't.
Thanks to the fine folks at Seyberts and the participants of this board for keeping it neat, fast, effective, friendly and fun.
