View Full Version : Rebco Table -

I recently got a Rebco (out of Fresno, CA) 8' table from a friend. It was built in 1979. It's all solid wood (no Formica/particle board) and the play area of the 3-piece 1" slate is in good shape. I set it up with the old felt, rail rubber, etc. so that the kids and I could get playing on it.
First, has anyone heard of Rebco? I can't find a trace of them!
Second, I found that leveling the slates was tough and since I planned on recovering the table I didn't fill the joints. I'm now looking at redoing rails & felt - what's the best method to fill the screw holes in the slate & the joints? Any other tips?
BTW I downloaded the ZIP file on recovering tables - that should help :)
TIA - Doug

Bees wax and propane torch (small one). Melt the wax in the holes and seams and scrape off excess with a paint scraper or razor. Good luck.

Thanks for the help.
In part what I was hoping to know was whether this table was worth putting a lot of money into or not. Other than getting the slates levelled correctly it seems to play fine now.
Thanks again folks!
