 When i bought my stick i thought it would be perfect for me. then somewhere down the line i was told that a heavier stick is a better stick. So i tried experimenting with putting weights in the but of my cue. Well now a few months later i am having second thoughts about the heavy stick theory. Then the problem comes i cannot get the weight out... So now im basicly stuck with a heavier stick untill i can somehow get it out. Do you have any suggestions???

I have a VM34 from Viking. I went to the hardware store and bought a steel threaded beam big enough to fit. The problem was it was just barly to small so i put some tape around it and stuffed it in. now there's seemingly nothing i can do. anyone???

If you are trying to get it out and there is nothing to grab ahold of, go to a hardware store or home depot and ask for an easy out. it is a bit made for extracting broken off bolts, striped screws ect. you drill a hole in the bolt, then insert the easy out. it is backward threaded and is made to bite inside the drilled hole. you should be able to just turn it out using the easy out.

I have an idea that may also work. If you take a thin piece of steel round and take a little 2 part epoxy on the end and very carfully stick it in and touch the thing you put in the cue. Hold it for a few minutes to let the epoxy set and if you got a good bond you should be able to work it out. This method doesn't involve drilling, which might be a bit tricky without a lathe.

Problem Solved. I first tried the 2 part apoxy but i must not of had a good enough bond because it came off without movement. so i tried Sid's idea of drilling it out and i was able to jimmy it out without damaging the cue. thanks for all your input it was extreemely helpful.

Some other advice...don't be Mr. Home Cue Smith...you'll be in the running for one of those Budweiser Real American Hero awards, but your cue will be the worse off for it....

The best one was Mr. Taco Salad Inventor...who else could put all that meat...cheese...beans....chips...and two pieces of lettuce...and call it a salad. Is it fattening? Of course not...it's a salad..
