Can anyone who has shot with a pechauer tell me how it compares to other cues they have used in their life in terms of how good it plays/feels? Thanks! :D

I can't really tell you about the hit of a Pechauer cue as I tend to shove a predator shaft on the cues I play with but what I can tell you is that they absolutely fantastic as far as the workmanship and quality of the cue. The woods that go in to a Pechauer cue are something to behold. I always look forward to getting a new batch of Pechauer cues in as they are really a beautifully made cue and each cue is uniuqe because of the woods they use gives each cue their own charactor. I figure a Pechauer cue to be my next cue purchase.
All that and I never really gave a good response you your question. Come on guys, we have sold a bunch. What do you think of the hit???

i hearing someone is calling for me.. :P
As what Sid has mentioned, Pechauer's has fine craftmanshp on their cue, the woods they used are beautiful considering the cost they are priced! In term of hit, they possessed a softer hit compared to other custom cues(I've tried a Schon, Richard Black, CK, 1972's Joss ).
Currently I owned a Pechauer IV-5(with a predator shaft) & a newly purchased JP's LTD no. 7, The Natural Beauty, which arrived here 2 days ago. which I do not intend to fit a predator to it cos of the solid hit it give me. :)
You never go wrong with with a Pechauer.
So where is Bruce & Easyrider??

Hey, I'm around. Just having a lot of heart and eye trouble so I am laying low. :(
The Pechauers are some of the nicest looking and finest constructed cues around. The woods in them are really nice, they seem to find the pick of the litter when it come to grain and color. All of the splices and inlays are PERFECT on my IV8 and I love the cue. The hit is absolutely wonderful. They hit very solid and true. You won't go wrong with a Pechauer. Have Sid or Rick pick you out a nice one. They are great guys. :)

Hey, I thought I heard someone calling my name  I have a Pechauer IV-2 that I love. I recently had the opportunity to play with an Adams Frank cue that had a Predator shaft fitted to it. The my Pechauer cue hits softer than the Predator shaft, but much firmer than the Mali cue I upgraded from, or my Wife's McDermott. The fit and fit is second to none, the Schons I have handled were very nice, but the Pechauer as nice if not nicer. For the money, I feel the Ivory collection cues that Seyberts has is a better value than either the Schons or Predators. I know some people will buy and sell cues just to try different cues, but the Pechauer is a keeper.

After shooting with my new Pechauer both with the Pechauer shaft and the Predator 314, I can attest that Pechauer makes IMO "the best cue for the money" that is available today......better than a Schon and or a Joss from personal experience.

The Pechauer shaft shoots softer than the Predator 314 and might be a good choice for games like One Pocket or Straight Pool.

The Predator 314 IMHO is a better choice for games which typically require harder draw strokes......in particular......Nine Ball.

The Pechauer with the Predator 314 feels a lot like my old early 70s Joss which was one sensational cue......sorry to say I sold it several years ago.

The current 80s Joss I own plays well but the Pechauer is several levels above it......FWIW......the Predator 30" shaft Seybert's fitted to my Pechauer works on my Joss.

The quality of craftmanship on the Pechauer is just exceptional......I've never seen a Schon that would equal it. I have seen a Richard Black cue that would but it was selling for several times the cost of any of Seybert's Pechauer Ivory Collection cues.

Bottom Line......the Pechauer is a keeper......do consider one over any other cue you might be interested in and have Seybert's fit a Predator 314 to it for you.

And stay in stroke......

I own a Pechauer.

I own a Predator 2K series.

I use to love my Pechauer. I still play with it from time to time. I still firmly believe that it is a high quality cue with outstanding balance.

But I like my Predator more. Maybe because I play with it more often and now the Predator is the cue I'm used to now.

My bottom line is....Can't go wrong with a Pechauer. My next cue purchase will probably be a Pechauer fitted with a Predator shaft.

I live in Taiwan and purchased a Pechauer Cue - PR18 from Jerry about 2 years ago, before that I used Falcon with 314 shaft, after I receive this baby I can't help dedicating on it and so shock with it's beauty of wood and craft work, of course, including perfectly finsih.

In the beginning I hit with original shaft but the climate here is higher humidity and need more solid hitting, so I change shaft to 314, at that time still 5/16-14 of Pechauer's screw can fit with Falcon's and Predator's shafts in the same type.

2 years past I never change another playing cue beside my PR18 , recently I try sometimes to pick the original shaft and I feel the quality still same nice like I received yesterday, and after played several times I love to use it more than 314 now , due to it's hitting sense is more satisfied me !!

My original Pechauer shaft never bended over 2 years, in the period of time I switch from 314 and JP's shaft , every 2 weeks I use Q-Clean, Q-Smoth and Q-Slick to care both of them, those shafts never bend, even in such high moisture area of Asia.

But due to the moisture issue the table cloth is not so dry comparing to States and make people playing pool here do not appreciate Pechauer's cues performance so much, waht a pity !!

Sill I have emails back and forth with Jerry sometime, he is a nice person with great character, always answer patiently to any kind of cue making or pool question I ask .

I do appreciate what he done within his craft work and always cherish my Pechauer Cue.

Hi, I was just wondering if you can get the Limited Edition Wild Thing II cue. If so how much are we talking? Saw this and just fell in love with it.
Thanks.

I just recently bought a pr10. I had been playing strictly meucci predatorless for 4 years; so a little adjustment in my stroke/aim was needed.

Yes the Pechauer looks and feels great. But this soft stroke that eveyone is on about, does that explain why I can't draw like I used to, i.e. from one end of the table to the other end? It would be great news, I mean relief, if it has something to do with the shaft, because I could remedy that easily (314 shaft). I was thinking that it might have something to do with the weight of the forearm, which seems heavier and a little longer than on other butts.
