I know that moori tips are layered and have heard a traditional scrapper is not a good thing for the tip. I was wondering what workes best with layered tips to scuff them up??

I use my willard shaper. A few twists in there and it's like a brand new tip.

I'm using my Cue Cube with my Moori tip. Is that bad for it??

Parrothead....glad to hear you can use that willard on your Moori....It does work good....but I have been scared to use it since I went to layered tips. If it doesn't hurt them....I'll get it back out of the bag. I have an awful habit of scuffing too...too much....An old habit from playing with cheap tips. 8) mike

Mike,

I wouldn't sweat using it if I were you, just don't go too far or you will wear the tip down before it's time.

A little tip about the willard that I found is that when it starts to fill up with chalk and dust and such, just fill the cavity up with rubbing alcohol and clean it with an old tooth brush to get it cleaned all the way out. Makes it good as new and won't cause any corrosion.
