View Full Version : Garage tournament results...
I don't have all the $$ amounts yet...but here are the top finishers.
1st--Josh Ulrich---$3398.00
2nd--Jason Kirkwood
3rd--Ann Arbor Derrick
4th--Tim Roberts
5th--Norm "Porky" Wines.
I'll get the remainder of the top 10 field and the money amounts later today and post.
It was a great 2 day tournament with 106 shooters on board. It just keeps getting bigger.
How did Jason and Rick do?
Rick did you beat Sunny?
I beleive I came in at the 18th place bracket and I did beat Sunny 5-2. It was a great tourney I need to go out more often. This has been my first big tourney in 5 years other than APA, but I don't think they count.
Hey,
18th place out of 106 shooters is nothing to sneeze at, but probably just 1 or 2 out of the money.
I didn't enter as I was taping thee event and getting a little tipsy, but it was a great event.
I need to get in more too. I'm thinking Battle Creek.
Hey, Pittsford has Monday night 9ball, if you aren't doing a league. It's easy Money, and it's also a qualifying tourny with a tournament of champions labor day weekend. The 8ball tourny of champs is Memorial weekend, but you knew that.
I might go down next Monday, who knows.
Congratulations on 18th place RIck. THat's pretty good considering the field.
I'm out,
Michelle H.

....And BTW: How did Jason do? what was his placement?
I tried to get a request to Ruthie T. for all the results, but her inbox is full and bounced back.
So it might be a couple of days before I get payout placements posted.
Did you hear about the shot that Norm Wines made?
He was hitting the 3 ball into the side pocket, but had to hit it with authority to get shape on his 4.
Well....he smacked it into the tit, the 3 ball bounced up, was air born and dropped dead center in the corner pocket. I caught it on film.
BTW....I also taped the final match between Josh and Kirkwood if anyone wants a copy.
That match was a race to 11: It went 9-9, then Josh got up to 10-9. Jason broke, pocketed a ball, but left himself real bad on the 1. He got a good hit, but left Josh a 1/9 combo, to win the match. SO final score....11-9 Josh.
It wrapped up about 11:00 with no good action to follow...RIck wanted to stake a guy against Alabama, but it never happened.
There were little sets going on, but nothing like one would expect for a tourny of that magnitude.
