View Full Version : weight balance?

I have a Meucci, Schon, J. Pechaur and Pradator cue. What I really like about the Meucci is that I can balance the cue for my needs by the screw bolt (screw in or out a little).

What's the deal with the Schon? There is that allen head screw in the middle of the bumper. I screwed and screwed and didn't notice any difference. Is this screw just there to hold the bumper? Even then, I couldn't pull the bumper off and didn't want to force it until I got more information.

On a side not, the predator balance can't be adjusted either correct? The weight bolt head is tapered and can only go in as far as it takes to put the bumper on. Does anyone have a secret here?

Thanks,

Jackson

like a lot of other cues, the allen head on the schon is just to hold the bumper in. The bumper can be removed once the allen bolt is taken out.

The Predator balance point cannot be altered due to the reasons you stated.

Thanks, but once I get the bumper off.....is there a way to balance?

No, usually there is a light weight bolt in the butt and it does little to balance the cue.

Thanks for the confirmation. I started this thread a while back and just checked back after reading all of the replies.
I don't see anywhere to bring up this other question so I'll just stick it here.

I'm thinking about adding another stick to my collection. Can anyone answer some questions about the Balabuska? I've heard that since the original sticks the guy died and the family is now making more inferior sticks. Is this because they are no longer hand made? Has anyone tried the newer sticks and can also tell me how they like it?
I'd appreciate any feedback as I don't want to spend that kind of money if I won't like it. I'm a civilian contractor working in the Indian Ocean island of Diego Garcia. Maybe you have heard a little about this place in the news due to current events. I've been here for 5 years and all I can do is order off of the internet. I can't go to some store and check sticks out.

Thanks,

Doug Jackson

if you now know what you like ,then why dont you order a custom cue?
