McDermott makes a good shaft. So does Predator. Predator probably has a little less deflection, and it's a great choice for something that will play a little differently than the standard McDermott shaft. McDermott makes a good shaft out of good wood. I can move the ball all around the table with mine, just like my Meucci red-dot or Predator for the Meucci butt. The differences are subtle, but they become more meaningful the better you get. Your ability to adjust also increases the better you get, so that makes it more a matter of prefence.

I feel uni-lock and wood to wood joint are solid feeling and other steel joints are hard hitting feering. As I played Predator 2K and 3K I like feeling of uni-lock loint.

McDermott makes good shaft I used to play with it. However some kind of shoot Predator is effortless 8) that is the reason I move to Predator  . If you can play with normal shaft you don't need to change the shaft. I am sure if you use Predator shaft you feel easy to play the game and can improve more. Choice is yours.
