clean my shaft ?

i had been using my lucasi cue stick for few month. for some reason the shaft need to be clean. i think the shaft is full with the bule colour chalk. i really dont want to sand the shaft. what should i do to clean the shaft ?

Stay away from the blue chalk....check this:

If you use blue chalk, as most everyone does, your shaft is going to go blue on you. To keep it in playable condition, try wiping it down with alcohol (rubbing, not rum :lol: ) That will take off the grime and much of the chalk. After that find a finishing product you like (i.e. shark oil, wax, or the like) and give it a good burnish with a piece of leather.
As far as the blue thing goes, I remember someone on this forum using tan chalk to keep staining to a minimum.
Don't lose track of that rum either. You might need it when you're done. 8)
