View Full Version : Viking VM-17
I am thinking about buying the VM-17. IT is nice looking and in my price level- it will be my first good cue. Was wondering how they hit, and what size shaft I should get. I have heard that the smaller the diameter the more english you can achieve? Also, anybody ever use the Bunjee Jump/break cue?
The VM17 is indeed a popular model. (Ranks #9 on our "best seller's" list, out of 77 models.) The design of the cue's inlay has very little to do with the "hit" of the cue. The "hit" of a cue is influenced by a number of things, including tip hardness, ferrule material, shaft diameter, joint material and style, etc. These items do much more to change the "hit" of a cue, than an inlay design ever could.

Guess that shows that even an inexpensive (notice I didn't say cheap) Viking cue is a great cue that you can recommend to your friends. If those lower priced cues weren't so good they would never sell so many of them.
