Hi kids. I'm new on the site, and I must say I'm impressed with this forum. These people lob up the good questions, and you guys knock them out of the park. Well, it's my turn.
I have a Lucasi L-2000 sneaky pete. Nothing special. Not even a uni-loc. That's why I love it. I just made a major change when I took the weight bolt from the butt of this cue. Since the removal, I have grown very close to it. I have found the weight and especially the balance greatly improved. Now I want the best for it. From what I understand, that means adding a Predator shaft.
Now, on to the questions. First, what do I expect from a weight and balance standpoint? My current shaft is 13mm. I plan to thin that to 12.75 or 12.50. What kind of $$ am I looking at if I send it in to be custom fitted(matching shaft, no rings or collar)? How should my shaft care habits change or not change? Tell me everything, guys. I'd like the Predator rep to get a look at this.
Finally, tell me this. Am I better off retiring this to just a break cue and buying a Predator sneaky pete to play with :?: :?:
Bring it on fellas. Any tips, suggestions, or recommendations are welcome.
