Right now my break is pretty straight forward shot from the side. But I see pros torqueing the ball on the break and flexing the shaft :D . Just wondering do any of you pros can teach me how to do this shot correctly. Like where to hit and whats the best way to hold the cue doing this thunder break. thanks

Bending the tip of your cue down on the table does nothing for your break, as far as power goes it just looks pretty. The best way to do a powerful break is to hit center ball or just about 1/16 bellow center, make sure your have a firm bridge and a straight stroke. You'll get extra power by following through the ball as far as you can. The best practice for a strong break is to practice it. You just do it over and over again, practice everyday for a month and I guarantee you'll have a sledge hammer break. Tip: Instead of practicing your break into a rack of balls just use a few or even into a pillow , the less time you spend racking the more time for practicing. Good luck.................e="lucasi boy"]

I break from 2 different spots on the table. One is about a ball to the right of the left diamond and the other about a ball left of the center diamond. Found I get the 9ball going better from those 2 spots. I just use left hand english to get the 9ball going and a center ball hit maybe just a little bit of high. The ideal break is to keep the cue ball within a diamond of the center of the table. I used to struggle at breaking but I found that I was getting down to low so now I stand more straight up and break pretty hard.
