...Isn't married. ( A girlfriend is o.k.)

...Keeps a job.

....Will play in tourny's at least 5 nights a week.

....Must play better than me, but not offended by losing to a woman.

....Doesn't want a commitment or a relationship.

....Doesn't think his game improves with each beer.

....Can handle me running off to out of State tournaments without prior notice.

....Just wants to be pool buddies, and scotch partners.

If this sounds like you, or someone you know........let's rack em' up. :)

Too bad that you're not located in Denver.

Sorry, but I'm an old surfer and desert rat originally from Southern California. I thrive on sunshine and HATE being confined indoors unless it involves some kind of sexual activity!

Maughanm,

Actually, we have pool here 8 days a week.

The weather kinda sucks right now, but as long as you stay in a pool room all night, who cares what the weathers like.

Koko,

I was confined indoors last night for 9 hours with no sexual activity whatsoever. I just banged em around all night. Yep, I played nine ball for 9 str8 hours. My back is real sore for it today. But what's a girl to do?

Saturday I'm locking up for races to 7 at $100 a set. It's not much, but it ought to be a fun night out. It's great to get paid for doing what you love. Doncha think? 8)

Whatever floats your boat, 9ballgirl!!!

D*mn, 9ballgirl, I'm gonna' need to move north when the economy gets better. Can't find enough of your type here in Denver other than Melissa Little who is a fine person. And nope, we're not having an affair, just casual friends.

Do you play on 9 footers or bar tables? Me, I just started playing on the "BT's" and they're easy after all the time I spent playing on "9'ers".

I know what you mean by having a sore back. After two straight hours of practice and my right sacroiliac joint is sore. At that point I start slacking off. But last night I played about 4 hours and felt fine. Never did a 7 hour stint, though.

Maughmanm,

Not really a hustler. THe game was brought to me even though they know what they're in for.

Couple of rich guys with too much time on they're hands in search of some new entertainment I guess. One's backing me and one's backing thee other. It's a win/win situation. Especially for me.

Koko,

I play on double and triple shimmed 9 footers w/ tight weave simonis as a rule.

However, I will play certain tourny's on bar boxes, if it's a good tourny.

ANd that was 9 straight hours of practice. A record for me too. I usually practice between 5-7 hours a day, 3-4 times a week and do alot of tournaments. I make time for work when I have to.

I play more pool than I do anything.

Couldn't resist throwing in that line from Fast Eddie in the "Color of Money. "Living a Dream" is what I would call that..........thought about qualifying for some of the pro events? Sounds like you may have some good backing! 8)

Maugh,

I did catch the Newman line, I just didn't have anything quippy to come back atcha with.

Pro events? Yeah! Absolutely. I was offered to join the womens midwest tour last year, so I headed south and got me some instruction.

The 1st rule was, I had to scrap EVERYTHING I knew!

I had the eye and knew the shots, but my mechanics were all wrong.

In fact, my game was said to have been like Norm "Porky" Wine's game. (Not a bad comparison IMHO, He's finished tops in some high events. Like 2nd at Derby City 1 year, I believe)

Don't know if you know him, or ever saw him shoot, but he breaks every rule in the book. So did I. Well, I went south and hung out with some of the greatest ever to play the game. The list goes on. But my most enjoayable experience, I'd say, was shooting in some hick bars, for $5-$10 bucks a game, using Bucky Bell's shon. Beautiful stick.

I also went to Dayton and met the legendary George Rood. I met him when I was about 6, but getting to play him and just watch him shoot 1 pocket was phenomenel.(sp?)

I've hung out with Archer and his crew. That's what really got me started on the 9 ball kick. In 98', he was world champ. And just watching him was mesmerizing. It really just threw me in a trance. I decided that 9 ball was the game of games and I haven't stopped playing since.
(He signed my Meucci, in 98', when he was at the pinnacle of his game...gotta love it)

I don't think that there has been a day that's gone by in 6 months that I haven't played at least 1 game of pool. I'm even thinking of switching jobs and working for another company( in the same line of work) because they actually have a pool table in the break room. How phucking cool is that?

Anyway, there's a gal in Lansing, Mi who was suppose to start a regional tour here, last year. It didn't get off the ground last year, so hopefully this year it will. I do, however, play in some of the tourny's that the pro's play in and I'm starting to get recognition for being a good shot.
Never played leagues in my life until this year, just to qualify for some of those events.

I guess I'm just a natural.

Not too bad for a girl. :D
