I wonder what you mean by "production cue". If you mean a cue from a manufacturer that produces a lot of cues this would qualify as a production cue. I think a better way of defining a production vs. custom cue is the number of cues (including variations in materials) of a particular design that a manufacturer produces. A lot of cue makers such as Southwest, Cognoscenti, Joss West, Chester Krick to name a few, who's cues people call custom cues have models produced in quantities larger that the Schon Elite, Unique or even a LTD.

well wut i meant is i'd rather pay that much money on a one of a kind cue, to my own specs etc....I know some of the custom cue makers have a watchu call a "production" cue.

I have contacted Schon in the past and they said they would make a cue for me to most any spec I wanted. I wanted a Cocobolo forearm and butt with ebony points and ivory diamonds. The cost would have been around $1800.

It went over my budget so I did not get it,...but they would have made it. It would have been considered custom. Give them a call.

perhaps but i rather get it from a custom cue maker, instead of a 'production' company. They have really nice cues though.
