Hey Guys,

I have a Falcon now. It hits well but there is a slight vibration while holding the wrap with one hand and hitting the butt with the other hand. This Falcon shaft has tons of whip in. I like it but want a little more control.

I like the Viking VM8 model other than the $560 price tag...I also like the
Lucasi L-2009 which is a little more afforable.

Can anyone here tell me why I should put the extra $$$ in for the Viking?

Also, how are the Viking shafts...Lotts of whip or are they solid like the Preadtors?
How are the Vikings for balance? I do prefer a cue with a little more forward balance than Butt heavy.

Sorry for all the questions,
thanks for the replies.

Viking makes a nice stiff shaft. I have done some comparisons with other lower quality cues to see how it's deflection compares and I can detect very little deflection in my viking. I own three Vikings with joint 5, and they are all fairly forward balanced so I would guess that the stainless joint would be even more so. I think that if you can afford the Viking, you would be truly happy with the purchase, but spring a little extra and get a good tip. I am currently using a Talisman Pro Hard, and it hits like a dream.

I like my Viking and keep the original shaft in my case in the unfortunate event that I damage my Predator shaft. I like a really stiff shaft like the Predator and while the Viking is stiffer than many others, it doesn't match the Predator.

If you want stiff there is no other way to go than with a Predator shaft. They are even making the Predator shafts for Viking now complete with ringwork.
