not a bad cue by any means. depending on your situation, how long you've been playing, How many cues have you owned in the past? what brand of cues have you used? All questions need to be answered to give you a valid suggestion.

But if you are new to the game and havent spent over 100 bucks for a cue yet it would make a good first purchase. I personally would spend a few extra bucks and get a viking or mcdermot. Lucasi is a decent cue but you will probibly replace it with in a year or so(depending on how serious you get about the game).

In that price range I would recomend looking at a base McDermott or Viking. These days with all the talk about jobs moving over seas it is nice to have the option of supporting American workers (the Lucassi is made in China).

I think you should wait, play some more with a house cue, it will play just as good as any of the cues mentioned above, save some money for a few month or a year and then if you still serious about playing pool, you should get any cue (butt) and put a predator shaft on it, that's the only shaft that is realy making any different I recommend the 314 shaft (adding it to a viking vm-30 will cost you $200+$192=$392 and it will play just like any other $2000 cue with a 314 shaft on it)

Lucasi is an excellent cue for the money. I was using their LSS-2 j/b before I got my BK. Worked well for a cue around $150.
