:confused3: I have a Meucci Original Jim Rempe JR-5 cue with 2 shafts. One of the shaft plastic collars has hairline cracks even though it was unplayed.
Is it worth getting the shaft collar replaced?
This is a personal preference but we can install a new one for you. Depending on the ring work the price will vary.
Send a pic of the ring-work (shaft) to Rick at Seybert's.
We'll take a look at it and give you a quote.

What is the best way and what to use to clean a shaft and keep it looking new? I would rather not use sandpaper on my new P3 or any of my cues.
There is an item available through most grocery stores, etc. that requires very little, if any water for their use.
'Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser".
Use of a cloth btwn. rounds at the table will also assist in keeping the shaft clean.
For the most part, it's chalk that dirties the shaft. Proper chalking practice will go a long way to keeping the chalk off your shaft.
Hope this helps.

I used the Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser and then I used the Q Smooth Micro-Burnishing Film. After I do that would it be good to use the Q Slick and the Q Glide? Are would it be better to stay away from them?
