Anybody have any recommendations on what to use to clean irish linen wraps on cue sticks-some of the ones i come across get pretty dirty- thanks in advance doug
When the wrap is worth saving and just needs a wash I do it on a lathe.
Wet it down, not saturated, apply some mild dish detergent (NO BLEACH!!!) and just wash it. When it's about as clean as it's going to get, I spray rinse water from a spray bottle while at the same time using a paper towel on the underside to soak up the water and any remaining detergent.
Since I install a lot of linen wraps, I have the tools for re-pressing the linen. You may not get it 'brand-new' clean but it will be significantly cleaner. A lot of times the re-pressing is better than orig. Hope this helps.
