Hi, I have a cue that is short for me ,it is 59 inches long, I am going to buy a longer one later about 61 inches, but my question now is if I want to buy a breaking cue does the breaking cue also need to be longer thus also 61 inches same as my cue. and my cue now weights about 19.5 oz, that i find good, but what weight do i have to check for my breaking cue ? same or lighter or heavier?

plz let me know, thank you

There is no correlation btwn. the length of your game cue and the length of your break cue. What I mean is that you don't lay-out on the table for your break shot as you would for a shot where the QB is far away.
Other than that, from the limited info you've provided, I can't answer further. But as is the nature of this forum, I expect there will be many other responders very willing to offer advice & suggestions. Maybe posting your thread in a more frequented section of the forum will get you the response you seek.

I think that it is up to your break technic.
The "latest fashion" in break cues and jump/break cues is having heavy butt which makes you grip the butt at the very end....

The more "old school" technic (which I prefer and use) is getting a front balance cue and griping it closer to he middle of the butt.

Mezz put out the PowerBreak II (http://www.mezzcues.us/breakcue/powerbreak2/index.html) cue a few years back and it has a 25 inch butt which is 4 inches shorter then "normal" cues

according to their research the shorter butt reduce deflection and distortion that occurs at impact.
